Our Commitment to Nature

For instance, many of the issues that Costa Rica is facing with the new wave of immigration is happening in the coastal areas because of the imbalance between the high demand of the aquifers and lack of water availability for everyone.

It is a fine balance that needs to be maintained between new settlements and availability of resources such as land (forests, top soil), water and space to process all the waste. This is why the Sustainability Center of Costa Rica has made Guacimal its headquarters for over a decade.
